This office uses an Er: YAG laser which is a laser that can be used to prepare teeth for white fillings without the drill and in many cases without anesthesia. The laser is safe for children and adults to do fillings and soft tissue procedures on gums and cheeks with less pain and bleeding.
Dr. Bhat is also certified to use a diode laser as an adjunct to non-surgical deep cleanings. Both the Er: YAG and diode can be easily used to treat cold sores and apthous ulcers with better results than medications.
