The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.
Dr. Rita Bhat
Dr. Bhat is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Following that she worked as a contract dentist during the Persian Gulf War at Fort Bragg, NC. She began her solo practice in Davidson 1993 and moved to a larger office in Mooresville 1999. Dr. Bhat is a member of American Dental Association and Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Bhat has served as President of Iredell County Dental Society and has recently joined an emerging women's dental association known as Dental Divas. She has also been involved with volunteering at Mooresville OutReach to serve the local population that are without access to dental care. She also has been recognized as among America's Top Dentists selected by Consumer Research Council since 2005.
Dental Hygienist- Kim Cales
Kim Cales is a registered dental hygienist who graduated from West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1988. She hold licensure in West Virginia, Texas and North Carolina. She is proactive in continuing education and maintains more than the required credit hours yearly. She has been with Dr. Bhat since 2007.
Dental Assistant- Alayna O'Connor
Alayna O'Connor is a dental assistant who trained in Colorado Springs, Co to recieve a diploma as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant in 2003. She has been with Dr.Bhat since 2005.
Office Manager- Lynn Morrison
Lynn has been with Dr Bhat since 2004. With more than 25 years experience in the dental field, she is able to answer almost any question you ask.
