About Rita Bhat, DMD

For over 25 years, Rita Bhat, DMD, has provided high-quality dental care in the Lake Norman area in Mooresville, North Carolina. At her private practice, Dr. Bhat offers a range of both general and cosmetic dentistry services and treatments, including dental implants, teeth whitening, dental crowns, veneers, and laser dentistry.

Dr. Bhat graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She completed her general practice residency at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before working as a contract dentist during the Persian Gulf War at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Dr. Bhat has extensive experience. She served as the President of Iredell County Dental Society and she’s also been involved with volunteering at the Mooresville OutReach and Missions of Mercy — a nonprofit organization run by the North Carolina Dental Society. The goal of the organization is to serve the local population without access to dental care.

In 1993, Dr. Bhat started her private practice in Davidson before moving to a larger office in Mooresville in 1999.

Dr. Bhat has been honored and awarded for her contributions to the dental field and local communities. She was recognized as one of America's Top Dentists selected by the Consumer Research Council since 2005. She is active in the dental field and a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Dr. Bhat believes in educating every individual about how to achieve optimal oral health and hygiene. She spends ample time with each patient and develops valuable and often life-long doctor-patient relationships.

Dr. Bhat aims to ease any stress, anxiety, and concerns surrounding dental visits. She works with a close-knit group of medical professionals to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment. Dr. Bhat is currently accepting new patients.
